I've said it before, and I'll say it again. I love a good easy crock-pot meal! Who doesn't? This meal is the perfect example of a delicious, easy, crock-pot dinner. In this specific recipe, I used a can of pillsbury doughboy biscuits for the dumplings. However, if you have a good recipe for some homemade dumplings, then make those and add them in at the very end! Either way, it's still so yummy!! This recipe made plenty for my family of 3, and gave us a good amount of leftovers as well.
Ingredients:
Skinless Boneless Chicken Breasts
1 can (8 count) Pillsbury Doughboy Biscuits
2 cups Chicken Broth
2 cans Cream of Chicken
2 cups from Frozen Vegetable Medley Bag
Chopped Onion
1 Cup Water
Salt
Pepper
Garlic Powder
Onion Powder
(All seasonings to taste)
Start by adding your chicken breasts to your crock-pot. Add all of your seasonings and chopped onion. Then add your water, chicken broth, and cream of chicken. Give it a good mix, and cook on high for 3 hours.
After the chicken cooks for 3 hours, take it out and use two forks to shred it up. Put the chicken back into the crock-pot and add your veggie medley.
Use a pizza cutter to cut the biscuits into little triangles. Toss the biscuit pieces in one by one. Mix everything in, and cook for another 2 hours.
And just like that, your chicken and dumplings is ready to serve! So yummy and so easy to make! I hope your family loves this meal as much as my family does!
